Attempting an installation without meeting prerequisites is the number one cause of failure. Verify the following before you begin:

Add the following to your shell profile ( ~/.bashrc or /etc/environment ): Always try sudo (Linux/Mac) or run the Terminal
Once the device reboots cleanly from its factory state, follow this sequence to grab and initialize the packages.
After the progress bar completes, click or Close . The program should now appear in the Start menu or as a desktop shortcut. If the installer prompts you to restart your computer, save your work and reboot to finalize the setup.
Always try sudo (Linux/Mac) or run the Terminal as Administrator (Windows).
