There is a major update on the horizon. Discord is currently testing an experimental feature designed to hide private channels on the . Currently, the client still receives some metadata about hidden channels (which is how plugins like ShowHiddenChannels work). Once the server-side update fully rolls out, these plugins will become completely useless. They will no longer be able to display locked channel names or topics because the server will not send that information to the client at all.
